Well, things continue to move along on an interesting path. I got my calculus exam grade, and for once I've done fairly well, having made a 90. I also seem to be doing well in my lab classes, having made perfect grades in my optics lab and reasonably good grades in my electronics lab. Speaking of that class, at this point even the TA has stopped coming to class; not sure if I should be proud that I'm still handling it, or annoyed that I'm one of the few still putting up with it.
Of course, things could be better. My physics exam went badly, to say the least, though from the sounds of things the class average on that thing was about a 35, so maybe I did well enough by comparison? It'd help if I actually woke up this morning so that I'd know what I made on the damned thing... seriously, I've got to start going to my classes more regularly, or things are going to go badly. Still, I'm keeping up at the moment, though it's been at the expense of little things like free time, eating, sleeping, and (occasionally) bathing.
And now, the reason I decided to write this thing (instead of working on my lab reports as I should be doing): acquisitions! Yes, my friends, goods, both material and intellectual, have found their way into my possession, and it is my intent to try and spread my good fortune amongst the people. The list is honestly a bit long, and my time is limited, so I'll just list things off; consider anything and everything on this list to be something I'd love to show to anyone who is interested, so if anything catches your interest, let me know and we'll see what we can do. Basically, everything on this list is my favorite thing within its (listed) category. So, without further ado:
Excel Saga (Favorite humor-based anime. Also worth noting is the fact that I bought it despite already owning the whole series on my PC; good indication of how much I liked it.)
Banner of the Stars (Favorite sci-fi drama anime.)
Robin Hood (Favorite animated Disney film.)
Ghostbusters 1 and 2 (By far my favorite live-action movies from my childhood.)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Favorite Monty Python movie; took me long enough to get my mitts on this one...)
The Incredibles (Tied for my favorite super hero movie; still need to get a copy of Mystery Men.)
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team (Favorite Gundam Series.)
On top of all of this, I've gotten a DS, at the recommendations of so very many of you. I also picked up Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and Advance Wars: Dual Strike, though lord only knows when I'll have time to play them. Finally, I've managed to pick up the Advent Children soundtrack, the Hook soundtrack, and a CD of orchestrated Actraiser songs; I'll be trying to get those out to as many people as possible, as I immensely enjoyed them, and therefore hope you all will too.
The only other real news (and this is the really exciting part): my roommate all but announced to me today that he'll be moving to the San Jacinto dorms to live with a friend of his who recently managed to get rid of his (possibly psychotic) roommate. Granted, he and I were getting along reasonably well (though I always got the impression that he found me, well, beneath him [which, from a financial and social point of view, I am]), but the reason this has me excited is because, as it is so late in the semester, I'll likely have this dorm all to myself for the rest of the semester (and possibly the rest of the year). So, after all of these years, I may finally be getting my own dorm room. I cannot express just how excited I am about this prospect; the idea of going solely on my own activity cycle, and being able to listen to (and sing along with) my songs and watch my programs whenever I want (instead of just whenever my roommate is awake and doesn't have guests over)... well, you can imagine how happy I am at the moment.
Well, I've allowed the writing of this entry to go on for far longer than I should have, so I'll be getting back to work. However, if any of the songs, games, or DVDs I mentioned above interest you, just let me know and I'll do what I can to try and make these things available to you (needless to say, some of these things will be fairly difficult to share with those of you who I have no means of visiting, but now that I have a car, the realm of possibilities is GREATLY expanded). In any event, hope everything is going as well for you guys as it seems to be going for me, and I'll see you all later!
